Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:6063 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الثَّعْلَبِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْلَى عَنْ نَاصِحِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخ��دْرِيِّ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ وَصِيٌّ فَمَنْ وَصِيُّكَ؟ فَسَكَتَ عَنِّي فَلَمَّا كَانَ بَعْدُ رَآنِي فَقَالَ «يَا سَلْمَانُ» فَأَسْرَعْتُ إِلَيْهِ قُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ قَالَ «تَعْلَمُ مَنْ وَصِيُّ مُوسَى؟» قُلْتُ نَعَمْ يُوشَعُ بْنُ نُونٍ قَالَ «لِمَ؟» قُلْتُ لِأَنَّهُ كَانَ أَعْلَمُهُمْ قَالَ «فَإِنَّ وَصِيِّ وَمَوْضِعُ سِرِّي وَخَيْرُ مَنْ أَتْرُكُ بَعْدِي وَيُنْجِزُ عِدَتِي وَيَقْضِي دَيْنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ» قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ قَوْلُهُ وَصِيِّ يَعْنِي أَنَّهُ أَوْصَاهُ فِي أَهْلِهِ لَا بِالْخِلَافَةِ وَقَوْلُهُ خَيْرُ مَنْ أَتْرُكُ بَعْدِي يَعْنِي مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ ﷺ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Salman said: I said to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him): "Every prophet has a successor (wasi), so who is your successor?" He remained silent. Later, he saw me and said: "O Salman!" I hurried to him and said: "At your service." He said: "Do you know who was the successor of Musa (Moses)?" I said: "Yes, Yusha' ibn Nun (Joshua)." He said: "Why?" I said: "Because he was the most knowledgeable among them." He said: "My successor, the keeper of my secrets, the best of those I leave behind, who will fulfill my promises and pay my debts, is 'Ali ibn Abi Talib." Abu al-Qasim (al-Tabarani) said: His saying 'my successor' means he entrusted him regarding his family, not with the caliphate, and his saying 'the best of those I leave behind' means from his household, peace be upon him.
