Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:5656 حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ لُوَيْنٌ ثنا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ فِي مَجْلِسِ قَوْمِهِ وَهُوَ يُحَدِّثُهُمْ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَبَعْضُهُمْ مُقْبِلٌ عَلَى بَعْضٍ يَتَحَدَّثُونَ فَغَضِبَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «انْظُرْ إِلَيْهِمْ أُحَدِّثُهُمْ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَمَّا رَأَتْ عَيْنَايَ وَسَمِعَتْ أُذُنَايَ وَبَعْضُهُمْ مُقْبِلٌ عَلَى بَعْضٍ أَمَا وَاللهِ لَأَخْرُجَنَّ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَظْهُرِكُمْ ثُمَّ لَا أَرْجِعُ إِلَيْكُمْ أَبَدًا» قُلْتُ لَهُ أَيْنَ تَذْهَبُ؟ قَالَ «أَذْهَبُ فَأُجَاهِدُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ» قُلْتُ مَا بِكَ جِهَادٌ وَمَا تَسْتَمْسِكُ عَلَى الْفَرَسِ وَمَا تَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ تَضْرِبَ بِالسَّيْفِ وَمَا تَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ تَطْعَنَ بِالرُّمْحِ فَقَالَ «يَا أَبَا حَازِمٍ أَذْهَبُ فَأَكُونُ فِي الصَّفِّ فَيَأْتِينِي بَيْنَهُمْ عَابِرٌ أَوْ حَجَرٌ فَيَرْزُقُنِي اللهُ الشَّهَادَةَ» قَالَ فَذَهَبَ لَعَمْرِي فَمَا رَجَعَ إِلَّا مَطْعُونًا
انگریزی ترجمہ
Sahl ibn Sa'd said: He was among his people narrating from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and some of them were talking to each other. He became angry and said: "Look at them — I am narrating to them from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), things my eyes saw and my ears heard, and some of them are turning to talk among themselves! By Allah, I will leave from among you and never return." I said: "Where will you go?" He said: "I will go fight in the cause of Allah." I said: "You are not fit for fighting — you cannot hold yourself on a horse, you cannot strike with a sword, and you cannot thrust with a spear." He said: "O Abu Hazim, I will go and stand in the ranks, and an arrow or a stone will come to me and Allah will grant me martyrdom." He went, by my life, and did not return except having been struck.
