Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:3806 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ قَالَا ثنا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ قَالَ كَتَبَ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ إِلَى أَهْلِ فَارِسَ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى الْإِسْلَامِ «بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ مِنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ إِلَى رُسْتُمَ ومِهْرَانَ وَمَلَإِ فَارِسَ سَلَامٌ عَلَى مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الْهُدَى أَمَّا بَعْدُ §فَإِنَّا نَدْعُوكُمْ إِلَى الْإِسْلَامِ فَإِنْ أَبَيْتُمْ فَأَعْطُوا الْجِزْيَةَ عَنْ يَدٍ وَأَنْتُمْ صَاغِرُونَ فَإِنَّ مَعِي قَوْمًا يُحِبُّونَ الْقَتْلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ كَمَا يُحِبُّ فَارِسُ الْخَمْرَ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَى مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الْهُدَى»
انگریزی ترجمہ
Khalid ibn al-Walid wrote to the people of Persia inviting them to Islam: "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. From Khalid ibn al-Walid to Rustum and Mihran and the chiefs of Persia. Peace be upon whoever follows guidance. As for what follows: We call you to Islam. If you refuse, then pay the jizyah with willing submission while you are subdued. For I have with me a people who love fighting in the cause of Allah as the Persians love wine. And peace be upon whoever follows guidance."
