Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:3624 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْمُسْتَمْلِي ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ خَبَّابٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ فَقَالَ رَمَقْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ لَأَنْظُرَنَّ كَيْفَ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَصَلَّى فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ جِئْتُ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَقَدْ صَلَّيْتَ اللَّيْلَةَ صَلَاةً مَا رَأَيْتُكَ صَلَّيْتَ مِثْلَهَا فَقَالَ «إِنَّهَا صَلَاةُ رَهَبٍ وَرَغَبٍ سَأَلْتُ رَبِّي فِيهَا ثَلَاثًا فَأَعْطَانِي اثْنَتَيْنِ وَمَنَعَنِي وَاحِدَةً سَأَلْتُهُ أَنْ لَا يُهْلِكَنَا بِمَا أَهْلَكَ بِهِ الْأُمَمَ قَبْلَنَا فَأَعْطَانِيهَا وَسَأَلْتُهُ أَنْ لَا يُسَلِّطَ عَلَيْنَا عَدُوًّا فَأَعْطَانِيهَا وَسَأَلْتُهُ أَنْ لَا يَلْبِسَنَا شِيَعًا فَمَنَعَنِيهَا»
انگریزی ترجمہ
Khabbab said: 'I watched the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and said: Let me see how the Messenger of Allah prays. He prayed, and when he finished, I came before him and said: O Messenger of Allah, you prayed tonight a prayer the like of which I have never seen you pray. He said: It was a prayer of fear and hope. I asked my Lord for three things, and He gave me two and denied me one. I asked Him not to destroy us by what He destroyed the nations before us, and He gave me that. I asked Him not to give an enemy power over us, and He gave me that. I asked Him not to clothe us in factions, and He denied me.'
