Jarir said: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to me: "Will you not relieve me of Dhu al-Khalasah?" — a house in which the tribe of Khath'am had an idol called al-Ka'bah al-Yamaniyyah. I set out with one hundred and fifty horsemen from Ahmas. I used to not stay firm on horses, so I told the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and he struck my chest with his hand and said: "O Allah, make him firm and make him a guide who is rightly guided." So I went out and burned it with fire and demolished it. I sent Abu Artah to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) to give him the good news. When he came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), he said: "By the One Who sent you with the truth, I did not come until I had left it like a mangy camel." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) blessed the horses and men of Ahmas five times.
