Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:1992 حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ قَالَا ثنا مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ «خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى جِنَازَةِ ابْنِ الدَّحْدَاحِ فَلَمَّا رَجَعَ أُتِيَ بِفَرَسٍ مُعْرَوْرًى فَرَكِبَهُ وَمَشَيْنَا»
انگریزی ترجمہ
Jabir ibn Samurah said: 'Umar said to Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas: "The people have complained about you in everything — even in prayer." He said: "I extend the first two rak'ahs and shorten the last two, and I do not fall short in following the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)." 'Umar said: "That is what I thought of you" — or "That is what I expected of you."
