Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:1226 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدُوسِ بْنِ كَامِلٍ السِّرَاجُ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَزَّارُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ قَالَا ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانَ ثنا الْمُحَارِبِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ يَعْنِي عَبْدَ الْأَعْلَى بْنَ أَبِي الْمُسَاوِرِ الْجِرَارِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بِشْرِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ لَمَّا قَدِمَ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ الْمَدِينَةَ اسْتَنْكَرُوا الْمَاءَ وَكَانَتْ لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي غِفَارٍ عَيْنٌ يُقَالُ لَهَا رُومَةٌ وَكَانَ يَبِيعُ مِنْهَا الْقِرْبَةَ بِمُدٍّ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «بِعْنِيها بِعَيْنٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ» فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَيْسَ لِي وَلَا لِعِيَالي غَيْرُهَا لَا أَسْتَطِيعُ ذَلِكَ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ عُثْمَانَ ؓ فَاشْتَرَاهَا بِخَمْسَةٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ أَلْفَ دِرْهَمٍ ثُمَّ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَتَجْعَلُ لِي مِثْلَ الَّذِي جَعَلْتَهُ له عَيْنًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ إِنِ اشْتَرَيْتُهَا؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قَالَ قَدِ اشْتَرَيْتُهَا وَجَعَلْتُهَا لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Bishr ibn Bashir al-Aslami narrated from his father: When the Muhajirun came to Madinah, they found the water disagreeable. A man from Banu Ghifar had a spring called Rumah, and he would sell a water-skin's worth for a mudd. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to him: "Sell it to me for a spring in Paradise." He said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have nothing else for myself and my family. I cannot do that." News of this reached 'Uthman, who bought it for thirty-five thousand dirhams. He then came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, will you grant me what you offered him - a spring in Paradise - if I buy it?" He said: "Yes." 'Uthman said: "I have bought it and made it for the Muslims."
