Ibn Abbas narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to the watering station (siqayah) and asked for a drink. Al-Abbas said to al-Fadl: 'Go to your mother and bring the Messenger of Allah a drink from her.' He said: 'Give me a drink.' He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, they put their hands in it.' He said: 'Give me a drink.' So he drank from it. Then he came to Zamzam while they were drawing water and working at it. He said: 'Keep working, for you are doing a righteous deed.' Then he said: 'Were it not that you would be overwhelmed, I would come down and place (the rope) on this' — meaning his shoulder, and he pointed to his shoulder.
