Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:110 حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ الضَّحَّاكِ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الرَّحَبِيُّ ثنا سَهْمُ بْنُ حُبَيْشٍ وَكَانَ مِمَّنْ شَهِدَ قَتْلَ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ فَلَمَّا أَمْسَيْنَا قُلْتُ لَئِنْ تَرَكْتُمْ صَاحِبَكُمْ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ مَثَّلُوا بِهِ فَانْطَلِقُوا بِهِ إِلَى بَقِيعِ الْغَرْقَدِ فَأَمْكَنَّا لَهُ مِنْ جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ ثُمَّ حَمَلْنَاهُ وَغَشِيَنَا سَوَادٌ مِنْ خَلْفِنَا فَهِبْنَاهُمْ حَتَّى كِدْنَا أَنَّ نَتَفَرَّقَ عَنْهُ فَنَادَى مُنَادٍ لَا رَوْعَ عَلَيْكُمْ اثْبُتُوا فَإِنَّا قَدْ جِئْنَا لِنَشْهَدَهُ مَعَكُمْ وَكَانَ ابْنُ حُبَيْشٍ يَقُولُ هُمْ وَاللهِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ
انگریزی ترجمہ
When the enemies besieged Uthman, they prevented water from reaching him. Uthman looked out from his window and said: 'I adjure you by Allah, do you know that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came to Madinah and there was no well that could be drunk from except the well of Rumah? The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Who will buy the well of Rumah and make his bucket in it equal to the buckets of the Muslims, and he will have something better than it in Paradise? So I bought it from my own wealth, and today you prevent me from drinking its water!'
