وعن ابن عمر، رضي الله عنهما، قال: أخذ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بمنكبي، فقال: "كن في الدنيا كأنك غريب، أو عابر سبيل". وكان ابن عمر، رضي الله عنهما، يقول: إذا أمسيت، فلا تنتظر الصباح، وإذا أصبحت لا تنتظر المساء، وخذ من صحتك لمرضك ومن حياتك لموتك. ((رواه البخاري)).
انگریزی ترجمہ
'Abdullah bin 'Umar (May allah be pleased with them) reported:Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) took hold of my shoulders and said, "Be in the world like a stranger or a wayfarer".Hadrat Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them) used to say: "When you survive till the evening, do not expect to live until the morning; and when you survive until the morning, do not expect to live until the evening; (do good deeds) when you are in good health before you fall sick, and (do good deeds) as long as you are alive before death strikes"..
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے میرے کندھے پکڑے اور فرمایا: "دنیا میں ایسے رہو جیسے تم مسافر ہو یا راہ گزر ہو۔" حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرمایا کرتے تھے: جب شام ہو تو صبح کا انتظار نہ کرو، اور جب صبح ہو تو شام کا انتظار نہ کرو۔ اپنی صحت سے بیماری کے لیے فائدہ اٹھاؤ اور اپنی زندگی سے موت کے لیے۔ (رواہ البخاری)
