وعن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت: سمع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم صوت خصوم بالباب عالية أصواتهما، وإذا أحدهما يستوضع الآخر ويسترفقه في شيء، وهو يقول: والله لا أفعل، فخرج عليهما رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: “أين المتألي على الله لا يفعل المعروف؟ " فقال: أنا يا رسول الله ، فله أي ذلك أحب ، ((متفق عليه)) .
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hadrat 'Aishah (may Allah be well pleased with her) reported:Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) heard the voices of altercation of two disputants at the door; both the voices were quite loud. One was asking the other to make his debts little (so that he could pay them) and was pleading with him to show leniency to him, whereupon the (other one) said: "By Allah, I will not do that". Then there came Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) to them and said, "Where is he who swore by Allah that he would not do good?" He said: "O Beloved Messenger of Allah, it is me. Now he may do as he desires"..
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا فرماتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے دروازے پر دو جھگڑنے والوں کی اونچی آواز سنی۔ ان میں سے ایک دوسرے سے کمی اور نرمی کی درخواست کر رہا تھا اور دوسرا کہہ رہا تھا: اللہ کی قسم! میں ایسا نہیں کروں گا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ان کے پاس تشریف لائے اور فرمایا: وہ شخص کہاں ہے جو اللہ کی قسم کھاتا ہے کہ وہ نیکی نہیں کرے گا؟ اس نے عرض کیا: میں ہوں یا رسول اللہ! اب یہ جو چاہے لے لے۔
