الخامس: عن جابر رضي الله عنه أنه غزا مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قبل نجد، فلما قفل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قفل معهم، فأدركتهم القائلة في واد كثير العضاه، فنزل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، وتفرق الناس يستظلون بالشجر، ونزل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم تحت سمرة، فعلق بها سيفه، ونمنا نومة، فإذا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يدعونا، وإذا عنده أعرابي فقال:
"إن هذا اختراط علي سيفي وأنا نائم، فاسيقظت وهو في يده صلتا، قال: من يمنعك منى؟ قلت: الله-ثلاثا" ولم يعاقبه وجلس. ((متفق عليه)) .
وفي رواية : قال جابر: كنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بذات الرقاع: فإذا أتينا على شجرة ظليلة تركناها لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فجاء رجل من المشركين، وسيف رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم معلق بالشجرة، فاخترطه فقال : تخافني؟ قال: لا قال : فمن يمنعك مني ؟ قال: الله .
وفي رواية أبي بكر الإسماعيلى في صحيحه: قال: من يمنعك مني؟ قال : الله قال: فسقط السيف من يده، فأخذ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم السيف فقال: من يمنعك مني؟ فقال كن خير آخذ، فقال تشهد أن لا إله إلا الله ، وأني رسول الله؟ قال: لا، ولكني أعاهدك أن لا أقاتلك ولا أكون مع قوم يقاتلونك، فخلى سبيله، فأتى أصحابه فقال: جئتكم من عند خير الناس.

Hadrat Jabir (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported that I went in an expedition along with the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) in the direction of Najd. When Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) returned, I also returned with him. Then the mid-day sleep overtook us in a valley full of prickly shrubs. Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) got down and the people scattered around seeking shade under the trees. Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) hang up his sword on the branch of a tree. We were enjoying a sleep when Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) called us, and lo! There was a desert Arab bedouin near him. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said, "This man brandished my sword over me while I was asleep. I woke up and saw it in his hand unsheathed. He asked: `Who will protect you from me?' I replied: 'Allah' - thrice". He did not punish him and sat down.

In another narration, Hadrat Jabir (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: We accompanied Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) in the campaign of Dhat-ur-Riqa`. We left Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) to take rest under a shady tree. One of the polytheists came to him. The sword of Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was hanging on a tree. He drew it and said: "Are you afraid of me?'' Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "No". Then he said: "Who will then protect you from me?'' Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) responded, "Allah".
And in a narration of Hadrat Abu Bakr Al-Isma`ili, the polytheist asked: "Who will protect you from me?'' Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) responded, "Allah.'' As soon as he said this, the sword fell down from his hand and Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) catching the sword, asked him, "Who will protect you from me.'' He said, "Please forgive me.'' Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "On condition you testify that there is none worthy of worship but Allah and that I am His Messenger.'' He said, "No, but I promise you that I shall not fight against you, nor shall I be with those who fight with you". The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) let him go. He then went back to his companions and said: "I have come to you from one of the best of mankind".
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ نجد کی طرف غزوہ کیا۔ جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم واپس ہوئے تو میں بھی ساتھ واپس ہوا۔ راستے میں ایک وادی میں دوپہر کی تپش نے آ لیا جو کانٹے دار درختوں سے بھری تھی۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اترے اور لوگ درختوں کے سایے میں بکھر گئے۔ آپ ایک کیکر کے درخت تلے اترے اور اپنی تلوار اس سے لٹکا دی۔ ہم نے کچھ دیر نیند لی، اچانک رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ہمیں بلایا اور آپ کے پاس ایک بدو تھا۔ آپ نے فرمایا: اس نے میرے سوتے میں میری تلوار نیام سے کھینچ لی۔ میں جاگا تو ننگی تلوار اس کے ہاتھ میں تھی۔ اس نے کہا: تجھے مجھ سے کون بچائے گا؟ میں نے فرمایا: اللہ - تین بار۔ آپ نے اسے سزا نہیں دی اور بیٹھ گئے۔ (متفق علیہ) ایک روایت میں ہے کہ حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ ذات الرقاع میں تھے۔ جب کوئی سایہ دار درخت آتا تو اسے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے لیے چھوڑ دیتے۔ ایک مشرک آیا اور آپ کی تلوار درخت پر لٹکی ہوئی تھی، اس نے کھینچ لی اور کہا: کیا تو مجھ سے ڈرتا ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: نہیں۔ اس نے کہا: تجھے مجھ سے کون بچائے گا؟ آپ نے فرمایا: اللہ۔ حضرت ابو بکر اسماعیلی کی روایت میں ہے: اس نے کہا: تجھے مجھ سے کون بچائے گا؟ آپ نے فرمایا: اللہ۔ تلوار اس کے ہاتھ سے گر پڑی۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے تلوار اٹھا لی اور فرمایا: اب تجھے مجھ سے کون بچائے گا؟ اس نے کہا: آپ بہتر لینے والے بنیں (یعنی معاف فرمائیں)۔ آپ نے فرمایا: کیا تو گواہی دیتا ہے کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں اور میں اللہ کا رسول ہوں؟ اس نے کہا: نہیں، لیکن میں عہد کرتا ہوں کہ نہ تم سے لڑوں گا اور نہ ایسے لوگوں کے ساتھ ہوں گا جو تم سے لڑیں۔ آپ نے اسے چھوڑ دیا۔ وہ اپنے ساتھیوں کے پاس آیا اور کہا: میں لوگوں میں سب سے بہتر شخص کے پاس سے آ رہا ہوں۔
