وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: “من حلف فقال في حلفه: باللات والعزى، فليقل: لا إله إلا الله، ومن قال لصاحبه: تعالى أقامرك فليتصدق" ((متفق عليه)).
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) said:the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated, "He who takes an oath and involuntarily says: 'By Al-Lat and Al-'Uzza' should at once affirm: 'La ilaha illallah (there is no true god except Allah)', and he who says to his companion: 'Come let's gamble' should make expiation by giving something in charity.".
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: جو شخص قسم کھائے اور اپنی قسم میں (غلطی سے) لات اور عزیٰ کا نام لے لے تو فوراً لا إلہ إلا اللہ کہے، اور جو شخص اپنے ساتھی سے کہے: آؤ جوا کھیلیں، تو اسے صدقہ کرنا چاہیے۔ (متفق علیہ)
