أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَمَّارٍ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ، عَنْ وَكِيعٍ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ، قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَىُّ الصَّدَقَةِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ " سَقْىُ الْمَاءِ ".

It is narrated that Hadrat Sa'd bin Hadrat 'Ubadah (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: "I submitted: 'O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), what kind of charity is best?' He said: 'Providing drinking water
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت سعد بن عبادہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! کون سا صدقہ سب سے بہتر ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”پانی پلانا“ ۱؎۔
