It is narrated from Hadrat Hittan bin Hadrat 'Abdullah that Al-Ash'ari (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: "The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) addressed us and taught us our Sunnahs and our prayer. He said: 'When you stand for the prayer, make your rows straight, then let one of you lead the others. When he says the takbir, then say the takbir; when he says : "Wa lad-dallin" then say "Amin" and Allah (SWT) will answer you. Then when he says the takbir and bows, then say the takbir and bow, for the Imam bows before you and stands up before you.' The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: "This makes up for that. When he says: 'Sami' Allahu liman hamidah (Allah hears the one who praises Him),' say: 'Allahumma, Rabbana wa lakal-hamd (O Allah, our Lord, to You be praise),' Allah will hear you, for indeed Allah (SWT), the Mighty and Sublime, has said on the tongue of His the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): "Allah hears the one who praises Him." Then when he says the takbir and prostrates, say the takbir and prostrate, for the Imam prostrates before you and rises before you.' The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: 'This makes up for that. Then when you are sitting, let the following be among what one of you says: At-tahiyyatu lillahi wasalawatu wat-tayibaat, as-salamu 'alaika ayah-Nabiyyu wa rahmatAllahi wa baraktuhu. As-salamu 'alaina a 'ala ibad illahis-salihin, ashadu an la ilaha ill Allah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)an 'abduhu wa rasuluhu. (All compliments, prayers and pure words are due to Allah. Peace be upon you O the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous slaves of Allah. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) is His slave and messenger)
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ہمیں خطبہ دیا تو آپ نے ہمیں ہمارے طریقے بتائے، اور ہم سے ہماری نماز کے طریقے بیان کیے، آپ نے فرمایا: جب تم نماز کے لیے کھڑے ہو تو اپنی صفوں کو درست کرو، پھر تم میں سے کوئی تمہاری امامت کرے، جب وہ «اللہ اکبر» کہے، تو تم بھی «اللہ اکبر» کہو، اور جب وہ «ولا الضالين» کہے تو تم آمین کہو، اللہ تمہاری اس کی ہوئی دعا کو قبول کرے گا، پھر جب وہ «اللہ اکبر» کہے اور رکوع کرے، تو تم بھی «اللہ اکبر» کہو اور رکوع کرو، بیشک امام تم سے پہلے رکوع کرے گا، اور تم سے پہلے سر اٹھائے گا ، تو ادھر کی کمی ادھر سے پوری ہو جائے گی، اور جب وہ «سمع اللہ لمن حمده» کہے تو تم «اللہم ربنا لك الحمد» اے اللہ! ہمارے رب تیرے ہی لیے تمام حمد ہے کہو، اس لیے کہ اللہ نے اپنے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی زبان سے کہلوا دیا ہے کہ اس نے اپنے حمد کرنے والے کی حمد سن لی ہے، پھر جب وہ «اللہ اکبر» کہے اور سجدہ کرے، تو تم بھی «اللہ اکبر» کہو اور سجدہ کرو، بیشک امام تم سے پہلے سجدہ میں جائے گا، اور تم سے پہلے سر اٹھائے گا ، تو ادھر کی کمی ادھر پوری ہو جائے گی، اور جب وہ قعدہ میں ہو تو تم میں سے ہر ایک کو یہ کہنا چاہیئے: «التحيات الطيبات الصلوات لله السلام عليك أيها النبي ورحمة اللہ وبركاته السلام علينا وعلى عباد اللہ الصالحين أشهد أن لا إله إلا اللہ وأشهد أن محمدا عبده ورسوله» تمام قولی، فعلی، اور مالی عبادتیں اللہ کے لیے ہیں، سلام ہو آپ پر اے نبی! اور اللہ کی رحمت اور برکت آپ پر نازل ہو، سلامتی ہو ہم پر اور اللہ کے نیک بندوں پر، میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ نہیں ہے کوئی معبود برحق سوائے اللہ کے، اور میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ محمد اس کے بندے اور رسول ہیں ۔
