انگریزی ترجمہ
Talhah bin Musarrif says: I asked Abdullah bin Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him): "Did the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) make a bequest (concerning wealth and the like)?" He said: "No." Then I said: "Then why was making a will made obligatory upon the Muslims, or why were they commanded to make a will?" He said: "The Prophet (peace be upon him) enjoined acting upon the Book of Allah." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 984]
اردو ترجمہ
طلحہ بن مصرف کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے عبداللہ بن ابی اوفی رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا کہ کیا رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے (مال وغیرہ کے بارے میں) وصیت کی تھی؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ نہیں۔ پھر میں نے کہا کہ پھر مسلمانوں پر کیوں وصیت فرض ہوئی؟ یا ان کو وصیت کا حکم کیوں ہوا؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اللہ تعالیٰ کی کتاب پر عمل کرنے کی وصیت کی تھی۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 984]
