Narrated Ata': We attended the funeral of Umm al-Mu'minin Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) at Sarif, along with Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both). Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Take heed, this is the pure wife of the Prophet (peace be upon him). When you lift her blessed bier, do not shake or jolt it, and carry her very gently. And (he said) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) had nine pure wives, for eight of whom a turn was fixed and for one of whom it was not. Ata' said: The one for whom no turn was fixed was Umm al-Mu'minin Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her). (This is a misapprehension of the narrator. The correct view is that Umm al-Mu'minin Sawdah, may Allah be pleased with her, had gifted her turn to Umm al-Mu'minin A'ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, as in the report above this one). اردو ترجمہ
عطاء کہتے ہیں کہہم سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کے ساتھ سرف میں ام المؤمنین میمونہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے جنازہ پر حاضر ہوئے تو سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا: خیال رکھو کہ یہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی زوجہ مطہرہ ہیں۔ جب تم ان کا جنازہ مبارک اٹھانا تو ہلانا جلانا نہیں اور بہت نرمی سے لے چلنا۔ اور یہ کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس نو ازواج مطہرات تھیں جن میں سے آٹھ کے لئے باری مقرر تھی اور ایک کے لئے نہیں۔ عطاء نے کہا کہ جن کے لئے باری مقرر نہیں تھی وہ ام المؤمنین صفیہ رضی اللہ عنہا تھیں۔ (یہ راوی کا وہم ہے، صحیح یہ ہے کہ ام المؤمنین سودہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے اپنی باری ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کو ہبہ کر دی تھی، جیسے اس سے اوپر والی روایت میں ہے)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 842]
