Narrated Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him)—during that Hajj in which the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) had sent him as leader before the Farewell Pilgrimage—sent me among a group who, on the day of sacrifice (Nahr), proclaimed that after this year no polytheist should come to Hajj, and no one should circumambulate the Kabah naked (as they used to do in the Days of Ignorance). Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Humayd, son of Abd al-Rahman, also used to say, on account of this very hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the day of the Greater Hajj is that same day of Nahr.
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہسیدنا ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ نے اس حج میں کہ جس میں رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ان کو حجۃ الوداع سے پہلے امیر بنا کر بھیجا تھا، مجھے اس جماعت میں روانہ کیا کہ جو نحر کے دن یہ پکارتے تھے کہ اس سال کے بعد اب کوئی مشرک حج کو نہ آئے اور نہ کوئی ننگا ہو کر بیت اللہ کا طواف کرے۔ (جیسے ایام جاہلیت میں کرتے تھے)۔ ابن شہاب زہری رحمہ اللہ نے کہا کہ عبدالرحمن کے بیٹے حمید بھی سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی اسی حدیث کے سبب سے یہ کہتے تھے کہ حج اکبر کا دن وہی نحر کا دن ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 642]
