انگریزی ترجمہ
Narrated Salamah ibn al-Akwa' (may Allah be pleased with him): When this verse was revealed, "And those who are able to fast (but with hardship) shall feed a needy person for each day" (al-Baqarah: 184), whoever wished to leave the fast would leave it and give the ransom (fidyah), until the following verse was revealed which abrogated this. (That is, if one has the capacity, then one may not give the ransom and break the fast.)
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا سلمہ بن اکوع رضی اللہ عنہ روایت کرتے ہیں کہجب یہ آیت”جن لوگوں کو روزے کی طاقت نہیں ہے وہ ہر روزہ کے بدلے ایک مسکین کو کھانا دیں“(البقرہ: 184) نازل ہوئی تو جو شخص روزہ چھوڑنا چاہتا تو چھوڑ کر فدیہ دے دیتا، حتیٰ کہ اس کے بعد والی آیت نازل ہوئی جس سے یہ منسوخ ہو گئی۔ (یعنی اگر استطاعت ہو تو پھر فدیہ دے کر افطار نہیں کر سکتا)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 607]
