انگریزی ترجمہ
It is narrated from Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) passed by a woman who was weeping over her (deceased) child. So he said: Fear Allah and be patient. The woman said: What do you know of my calamity? Then when he had gone, it was said to the woman: Indeed he (who said that) was the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). So something like death (a shock) overtook her. Thereupon the woman came to the door of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and she found no doorkeepers at his door. She said: O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), I did not recognize you. He said: Indeed, patience is only at the first shock. (The narrator is in doubt whether he said the words "inda awwali sadmatin" or used the words "inda awwal al-sadmah.") اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمایک عورت کے پاس سے گزرے جو اپنے (فوت شدہ) بچے پر رو رہی تھی۔ تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ اللہ سے ڈر اور صبر کر۔ تو وہ عورت کہنے لگی کہ تمہیں میری مصیبت کا کیا اندازہ ہے۔ پس جب آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمچلے گئے تو عورت سے کہا گیا کہ بیشک وہ (کہنے والے) اللہ کے رسولصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمتھے۔ تو اسے موت کے برابر (صدمے) نے آ لیا۔ چنانچہ وہ عورت نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے دروازے پر آئی تو اس نے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے دروازے پر دربان نہ پائے۔ کہنے لگی اے اللہ کے رسولصلی اللہ علیہ وسلممیں نے آپ کو پہچانا نہیں تھا۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ بیشک صبر تو صدمے کی ابتداء کے وقت ہوتا ہے۔ (راوی کو شک ہے کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے عند اول صدمۃ کا لفظ بولا یا عند اول الصدمۃ کے الفاظ استعمال کئے)[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 459]
