انگریزی ترجمہ
Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): Umar bin Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) came on the day of the Battle of the Trench and began cursing the disbelievers of Quraish, and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! By Allah, I could not pray the Asr prayer until the sun was about to set." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "By Allah, I too have not prayed it." Then we went towards a stony ground, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) performed ablution and we all performed ablution, and he prayed the Asr prayer after sunset, and then he prayed the Maghrib prayer after it.
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہسیدنا عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ جنگ خندق کے دن آئے اور کفار قریش کو برا بھلا کہنے لگے اور عرض کیا کہ اے اللہ کے رسولصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! قسم ہے اللہ کی میں عصر کی نماز نہیں پڑھ سکا ہوں، یہاں تک کہ آفتاب غروب کے قریب ہو گیا ہے۔ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ قسم ہے اللہ کی میں نے بھی نہیں پڑھی۔ پھر ہم ایک کنکریلی زمین کی طرف گئے اور رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے وضو کیا اور ہم سب نے وضو کیا اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے غروب آفتاب کے بعد عصر کی نماز پڑھی، پھر اس کے بعد مغرب کی نماز پڑھی۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 221]
