The Mother of the Believers Aisha as-Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her), regarding this verse — "And if a woman fears ill-treatment or aversion from her husband, (there is no blame on them if they make peace between themselves by settling some arrangement)" — said: This verse was revealed concerning the woman who is with a man who no longer wishes to keep her with him for long, but she has children by him and companionship with her husband and regards it as bad to leave her husband; so she gives him leave concerning herself (i.e., she relinquishes her marital right).
اردو ترجمہ
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا نےاس آیت کے بارے میں”اور اگر کسی عورت کو اپنے خاوند کی طرف سے بدسلوکی یا بےرخی کا خطرہ ہو (تو ان دونوں پر کوئی حرج نہیں کہ وہ آپس میں { کوئی بات طے کر کے } صلح کر لیں ....) کہا کہ یہ آیت اس عورت کے بارے میں اتری جو ایک شخص کے پاس ہو اب وہ زیادہ اس کو اپنے پاس نہ رکھنا چاہے، لیکن اس عورت کی اولاد ہو اور صحبت ہو اپنے خاوند سے اور وہ اپنے خاوند کو چھوڑنا برا جانے، تو اس کو اپنے بارے میں اجازت دے۔ (یعنی اپنا حق زوجیت چھوڑ دے)[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 2134]
