انگریزی ترجمہ
Sayyiduna Sa'id ibn Jubayr said: I said to Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): Can there be repentance for one who kills a believer deliberately? Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: No. I recited to him this verse which is in Surat al-Furqan: "And those who do not call upon..." to the end, after which is: "except one who repents..." (because from this it follows that after unlawful killing one can repent). Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: This verse is Meccan, and it was abrogated by the verse which was revealed in Medina: "And whoever kills a believer deliberately, his recompense is Hell, abiding therein forever."
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا سعید بن جبیر کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے کہا کہ جو کوئی مومن کو جان بوجھ کر قتل کرے، اس کی توبہ ہو سکتی ہے؟ سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہ نہیں۔ میں نے ان کو یہ آیت سنائی جو سورۃ الفرقان میں ہے کہ ((و للّذین لا یدعون ....)) آخر تک جس کے بعد یہ ہے کہ ((لاّ من تاب ....)) (کیونکہ اس سے یہ نکلتا ہے کہ ناحق خون کے بعد توبہ کر سکتا ہے)“سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہ یہ آیت مکی ہے اور اس کو اس آیت نے منسوخ کر دیا ہے جو مدینہ میں اتری کہ”جو کوئی مومن کو عمداً قتل کرے اس کا بدلہ جہنم ہے اور وہ ہمیشہ اس میں رہے گا“۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 2132]
