انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Ishaq said: I heard Sayyiduna al-Bara (may Allah be pleased with him) say: When the Ansar returned from Hajj, they would not enter their houses (through the door) but rather from the back (by climbing over the wall). An Ansari came and entered through the door, and people spoke to him about it. Then this verse was revealed: "It is not righteousness that you come into houses from the back; rather, righteousness is that you fear God and come into houses through their doors."
اردو ترجمہ
ابواسحاق کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے سیدنا براء رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا، وہ کہتے تھے کہ انصار جب حج کر کے لوٹ کر آتے تو گھر میں (دروازے سے) نہ آتے بلکہ پیچھے سے (دیوار پر چڑھ کر) آتے۔ ایک انصاری آیا اور دروازے سے داخل ہوا تو لوگوں نے اس کے بارے میں اس سے گفتگو کی، تب یہ آیت اتری کہ”یہ نیکی نہیں ہے کہ تم گھروں میں پیچھے سے آؤ، بلکہ نیکی یہ ہے کہ پرہیزگاری کرو اور گھروں میں دروازے سے آؤ“۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 2124]
