انگریزی ترجمہ
Sayyiduna Simak ibn Harb said: I heard Sayyiduna Nu'man ibn Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) delivering a sermon, saying: Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) mentioned the (wealth and riches) that people were acquiring, and then said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) remaining restless with hunger the whole day, and he (peace be upon him) could not even find poor-quality dates to fill his stomach.
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا سماک بن حرب کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے سیدنا نعمان بن بشیر رضی اللہ عنہ کو خطبہ پڑھتے ہوئے سنا، وہ کہہ رہے تھے کہ سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے اس (مال و دولت) کا ذکر کیا جو لوگ حاصل کر رہے تھے اور پھر کہ میں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو دیکھا، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسارا دن بھوک سے بےقرار رہتے اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو ناقص کھجور بھی نہ ملتی جس سے اپنا پیٹ بھر لیں۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 2075]
