انگریزی ترجمہ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Bara' bin 'Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace be upon him) lay down on his bed, he would say: "O Allah! In Your name I live and in Your name I die." And when he awoke (from sleep) he would say: "Praise be to Allah, who gave us life after causing us to die (that is, after sleep, for sleep is a kind of death), and to Him is the resurrection or return."
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا براء بن عازب رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمجب بستر پر لیٹتے تو فرماتے کہ”اے اللہ! میں تیرے نام کے ساتھ جیتا ہوں اور تیرے نام کے ساتھ مرتا ہوں“۔ اور جب (نیند سے) بیدار ہوتے تو فرماتے کہ”شکر اس اللہ کا، جس نے ہمیں مار کر زندہ کیا (یعنی سلا کر کیونکہ سونا بھی ایک طرح کی موت ہے) اور اسی کی طرف اٹھایا جانا یا لوٹنا ہے“۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1897]
