انگریزی ترجمہ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he said: "Allah, the Majestic, has ninety-nine names. Whoever memorizes them (that is, believes in the meanings of these names and acts upon them) will enter Paradise. And Allah is Odd (single) and loves odd numbers (which is why He did not mention a full hundred names, although the names of Allah are countless)."
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے روایت کرتے ہیں کہآپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: اللہ جل جلالہ کے ننانوے نام ہیں۔ جو کوئی ان کو یاد کر لے (یعنی ان ناموں کے معنی پر عقیدہ رکھ کر عمل کرے) وہ جنت میں جائے گا اور اللہ تعالیٰ طاق ہے اور طاق عدد کو دوست رکھتا ہے (اس لئے پورے سو نام نہیں بتائے اگرچہ اللہ کے نام بےشمار ہیں)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1864]
