انگریزی ترجمہ
Narrated Hudhayfah ibn Usayd (may Allah be pleased with him) relating from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him): "When the drop settles in the womb for forty or forty-five nights, the angel comes to it and says, 'O Lord! Shall I write it as wretched or fortunate?' Then Allah, the Exalted, decrees, and he writes accordingly. Then he says, 'Shall I write it as male or female?' Then Allah, the Exalted, decrees, and he writes accordingly, and he writes its deeds, its effects, its lifespan, and its provision. Then the record is folded up; nothing is added to it and nothing is diminished from it."
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا حذیفہ بن اسید رضی اللہ عنہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے بیان کرتے ہیں کہجب نطفہ چالیس یا پینتالیس رات رحم میں ٹھہر جاتا ہے تو فرشتہ اس کے پاس آتا ہے اور کہتا ہے کہ اے رب! اس کو بدبخت لکھوں یا نیک بخت؟ پھر اللہ تعالیٰ جو کہتا ہے ویسا ہی لکھتا ہے۔ پھر کہتا ہے کہ مرد لکھوں یا عورت؟ پھر اللہ تعالیٰ جو فرماتا ہے ویسا ہی لکھتا ہے اور اس کا عمل، اثر، عمر اور روزی لکھتا ہے پھر کتاب لپیٹ دی جاتی ہے، نہ اس سے کوئی چیز بڑھتی ہے نہ گھٹتی ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1848]
