انگریزی ترجمہ
Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "Whom do you consider to be childless (bereft of offspring)?" The people said, "The one who has no children (that is, whose children do not survive)." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "That one is not childless (his offspring are present to help him in the Hereafter). The truly childless one is the person who sent none of his children ahead of him (that is, none of whose sons or daughters died in his lifetime)." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Now, whom do you count among you as the strong wrestler?" We said, "The strong wrestler is the one whom men cannot throw down." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "No, the strong wrestler is the one who controls himself at the time of anger (that is, he neither says anything contrary to what is proper with his tongue, nor raises his hand against anyone)."
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ بے اولاد تم کس کو سمجھتے ہو؟ لوگوں نے عرض کیا کہ اس کو جس کے اولاد نہیں ہوتی (یعنی جیتی نہیں)۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ وہ بے اولاد نہیں ہے (اس کی اولاد تو آخرت میں اس کی مدد کرنے کو موجود ہے) بے اولاد حقیقت میں وہ شخص ہے جس نے اپنی اولاد میں سے اپنے آگے کچھ نہ بھیجا (یعنی جس کے روبرو اس کا کوئی لڑکا یا لڑکی نہ مرے)۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ اچھا تم اپنے درمیان پہلوان کس کو شمار کرتے ہو؟ ہم نے کہا کہ پہلوان وہ ہے جس کو مرد پچھاڑ نہ سکیں۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ نہیں پہلوان تو وہ ہے جو غصہ کے وقت اپنے آپ کو سنبھال لے (یعنی زبان سے مصلحت کے خلاف کوئی بات نہ کہے اور کسی پر ہاتھ بھی نہ اٹھائے)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1791]
