انگریزی ترجمہ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayra (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: (Just as some mines are of gold and some of iron, so too men are different — some have noble, well-rooted lineage, some are good and some are bad.) You will find people like mines. So those who were the best in the days of ignorance are the best in Islam, when they become learned in religion. And you will find the best of them the one who most hated Islam before becoming Muslim (that is, whoever was firm in disbelief will be equally firm in Islam after accepting it, like Sayyiduna Umar and Sayyiduna Khalid bin Walid (may Allah be pleased with them both), and others; or the meaning is that whoever most disliked the caliphate, his caliphate will be the best). And you will find the worst of people the double-faced one who comes to these with one face and goes to those with another face.
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: (جیسے بعض کان سونے کی ہے اور بعض لوہے کی ویسے ہی آدمی بھی مختلف ہیں کسی کا خاندان عمدہ ہے اصل ہے کوئی اچھا ہے کوئی برا ہے) تم لوگوں کو کانوں کی طرح پاؤ گے۔ پس جو جاہلیت میں بہتر تھے وہ اسلام میں بھی بہتر ہیں جب دین میں سمجھدار ہو جائیں اور تم بہتر اس کو پاؤ گے جو مسلمان ہونے سے پہلے اسلام سے بہت نفرت رکھتا ہو (یعنی جو کفر میں مضبوط تھا وہ اسلام لانے کے بعد اسلام میں بھی ایسا ہی مضبوط ہو گا جیسے سیدنا عمر اور سیدنا خالد بن ولید رضی اللہ عنہما وغیرہ یا یہ مراد ہے کہ جو خلافت سے نفرت رکھے اسی کی خلافت عمدہ ہو گی)۔ اور تم سب سے برا اس کو پاؤ گے جو دو روّیہ ہو کہ ان کے پاس ایک منہ لے کر آئے اور ان کے پاس دوسرا منہ لے کر جائے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1744]
