Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: A time will come upon the people when bands of men will wage jihad, and they will be asked: Is there anyone among you who saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)? They will say: Yes! Then they will be granted victory. Then groups of people will wage jihad, and they will be asked: Is there anyone among you who saw a companion of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)? (That is, is there anyone from among the Successors?) The people will say: Yes! Then they will be granted victory. Then armies of men will wage jihad, and they will be asked: Is there anyone among you who saw one who saw a companion (that is, from among the Successors of the Successors)? Then the people will say: Yes. Then bands of people will wage jihad, and they will be asked: Is there anyone among you who saw one who saw the Successors of the Successors?
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: لوگوں پر ایک زمانہ آئے گا کہ آدمیوں کے جھنڈ جہاد کریں گے تو ان سے پوچھیں گے کہ کوئی تم میں سے وہ شخص ہے جس نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو دیکھا ہو؟ تو وہ لوگ کہیں گے کہ ہاں! تو ان کی فتح ہو جائے گی۔ پھر لوگوں کے گروہ جہاد کریں گے تو ان سے پوچھیں گے کہ تم میں سے کوئی وہ ہے جس نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے صحابی کو دیکھا ہو (یعنی تابعین میں سے کوئی ہے؟) لوگ کہیں کے کہ ہاں! پھر ان کی فتح ہو جائے گی۔ پھر آدمیوں کے لشکر جہاد کریں گے تو ان سے پوچھا جائے گا کہ تم میں سے کوئی وہ ہے جس نے صحابی کے دیکھنے والے کو دیکھا ہو (یعنی تبع تابعین میں سے)؟ تو لوگ کہیں گے کہ ہاں۔ پھر لوگوں کے گروہ جہاد کریں گے تو پوچھیں گے کہ کیا تم میں کوئی ایسا آدمی ہے جس نے اتباع تابعین کو دیکھا ہو؟[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1742]
