It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Usayd al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: The best house among the Ansar is that of Banu al-Najjar, then that of Banu Abd al-Ashhal, then that of Banu al-Harith bin Khazraj, then that of Banu Sa'ida, and in every house of the Ansar there is good. Abu Salama said that Sayyiduna Abu Usayd said: Would I slander the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)? If I were a liar, I would have named my own people, Banu Sa'ida, first. This news reached Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Ubada (may Allah be pleased with him), and he was grieved and said: We have been left behind; we have been made last of the four. Saddle my donkey, for I will go to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). A nephew of Sayyiduna Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: You go to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) to refute his statement, while he (peace be upon him) knows well? Is it not enough for you that of the four you are the fourth? Hearing this, Sayyiduna Sa'd turned back and said: Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him) know best, and he ordered the saddle to be removed from the donkey.
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا ابواسید انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: انصار میں بہتر گھر بنی نجار کا ہے، پھر بنی عبداشہل کا پھر بنی حارث بن خزرج کا، پھر بنی ساعدہ کا اور انصار کے ہر گھر میں بہتری ہے۔ ابوسلمہ نے کہا کہ سیدنا ابواسید نے کہا کہ کیا میں رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمپر تہمت کرتا ہوں؟ اگر میں جھوٹا ہوتا تو پہلے اپنی قوم بنی ساعدہ کا نام لیتا۔ یہ خبر سیدنا سعد بن عبادہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو پہنچی تو انہیں رنج ہوا اور وہ کہنے لگے کہ ہم پیچھے چھوڑ دیئے گئے ہم چاروں کے آخر میں ہوئے، میرے گدھے پر زین کسو کہ میں رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس جاؤں گا۔ سیدنا سہل رضی اللہ عنہ کے بھتیجے نے ان سے کہا کہ تم رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس ان کی بات کا رد کرنے جاتے ہو حالانکہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمخوب جانتے ہیں؟ کیا تمہیں یہ کافی نہیں ہے کہ چار میں سے چوتھے تم ہو؟ یہ سن کر سیدنا سعد لوٹے اور فرمایا کہ اللہ اور اس کا رسولصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمخوب جانتے ہیں اور گدھے سے زین کو کھول ڈالنے کا حکم دیا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1728]
