انگریزی ترجمہ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said: We used to call Zayd bin Haritha "Zayd bin Muhammad" (because the Prophet (peace be upon him) had called him his adopted son), until it was revealed in the Qur'an: "Call them by (the names of) their fathers; that is more just in the sight of Allah" (al-Ahzab: 5).
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے کہا کہہم زید بن حارثہ کو زید بن محمد کہا کرتے تھے (اس وجہ سے کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ان کو منہ بولا بیٹا کہا تھا)، یہاں تک کہ قرآن میں اترا کہ”ان کو ان کے باپوں کی طرف نسبت کر کے پکارو اور یہی اللہ تعالیٰ کے نزدیک اچھا ہے“(الاحزاب: 5)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1680]
