The Mother of the Believers, Aisha the Truthful (may Allah be pleased with her), said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said (to his wives): The first of you to meet me will be the one with the longest hands. So all the pure wives measured their hands to see whose hands were the longest. Aisha the Truthful (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Among us all, the hands of Sayyida Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her) were the longest, because she used to work with her hands and give in charity.
اردو ترجمہ
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے (اپنی ازواج سے) فرمایا کہ تم سب میں پہلے وہ مجھ سے ملے گی جس کے ہاتھ زیادہ لمبے ہیں۔ پس سب ازواج مطہرات نے اپنے اپنے ہاتھ ناپے تاکہ معلوم ہو کہ کس کے ہاتھ زیادہ لمبے ہیں۔ ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ ہم سب میں سیدہ زینب رضی اللہ عنہا کے ہاتھ زیادہ لمبے تھے، اس لئے کہ وہ اپنے ہاتھ سے محنت کرتیں اور صدقہ دیتی تھیں۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1675]
