The Mother of the Believers, Aisha the Truthful (may Allah be pleased with her), said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), in his state of good health, used to say that no prophet has died until he has seen his place in Paradise, and then he is given the choice. Aisha the Truthful (may Allah be pleased with her) said: When the time of the Messenger of Allah's (peace be upon him) death came, his head was on my thigh. He remained unconscious for a while, then he regained consciousness and fixed his eyes toward the ceiling and said, "O Allah! (Join me) with the highest companions" (that is, with the prophets who dwell in the highest ranks, Illiyyin). Aisha the Truthful (may Allah be pleased with her) said: At that moment I said: Now he will not choose us. And I remembered the hadith he had spoken in his state of good health, that no prophet has died until he has seen his place in Paradise and been given the choice (of remaining in this world or in the Hereafter). Aisha the Truthful (may Allah be pleased with her) said: These were the last words the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) spoke: "O Allah! (Join me) with the highest companions."
اردو ترجمہ
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلماپنی تندرستی کی حالت میں فرماتے تھے کہ کوئی نبی فوت نہیں ہوا یہاں تک کہ اس نے جنت میں اپنا ٹھکانہ دیکھ نہیں لیا اور اسے دنیا سے جانے کا اختیار نہیں ملا۔ ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ جب رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی وفات کا وقت آ گیا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکا سر میری ران پر تھا۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمایک ساعت تک بیہوش رہے، پھر ہوش میں آئے اور اپنی آنکھ چھت کی طرف لگائی اور فرمایا کہ اے اللہ! بلند رفیقوں کے ساتھ کر (یعنی پیغمبروں کے ساتھ جو اعلیٰ علییّن میں رہتے ہیں)۔ ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ اس وقت میں نے کہا کہ اب آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمہمیں اختیار کرنے والے نہیں اور مجھے وہ حدیث یاد آئی جو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے تندرستی کی حالت میں فرمائی تھی کہ کوئی نبی فوت نہیں ہوا یہاں تک کہ اس نے اپنا ٹھکانہ جنت میں نہ دیکھ لیا ہو اور اس کو (دنیا میں رہنے اور آخرت میں رہنے کا) اختیار نہ ملا ہو۔ ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ یہ آخری کلمہ تھا جو رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ اے اللہ! مجھے بلند رفیقوں کے ساتھ کر۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1665]
