Narrated Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) sent Basisah (the name of a man) as a spy to bring news of the caravan of Abu Sufyan. He returned, and at that time there was no one in my house except the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). The narrator said: I do not remember which of his wives Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) mentioned. Then he related the hadith: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came out and said, "We have a task; so whoever has his mount present, let him ride with us." Hearing this, some men began to ask his (peace be upon him) permission to go to their mounts, which were in the upper part of Madinah the Illuminated. He (peace be upon him) said, "No; only those whose mounts are present should go." At last he (peace be upon him) set out with his companions, until they reached Badr before the polytheists, and the polytheists also arrived. He (peace be upon him) said, "Let none of you advance toward anything until I am ahead of him." Then the polytheists drew near, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "Rise to enter that Paradise whose width is equal to all the heavens and the earth." Umayr bin al-Humam al-Ansari said, "O Messenger of Allah! Is the width of Paradise equal to the heavens and the earth?" He (peace be upon him) said, "Yes!" He said, "Wonderful! Glory be to Allah!" He (peace be upon him) said, "Why do you say that?" He said, "Nothing, O Messenger of Allah! I said it in the hope that I too may become one of the people of Paradise." He (peace be upon him) said, "You are of the people of Paradise." Hearing this, he took some dates out of his quiver and began to eat them, then he said, "If I live to eat these dates of mine, it will be a very long life," and he threw away the dates that remained, and fought the disbelievers until he was martyred. اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے بسیسہ (ایک شخص کا نام ہے) کو جاسوس بنا کر بھیجا کہ وہ ابوسفیان کے قافلہ کی خبر لائے وہ لوٹ کر آیا اور اس وقت میرے گھر میں رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے سوا کوئی نہ تھا۔ راوی نے کہا کہ مجھے یاد نہیں کہ آپ کی کس زوجہ کا انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے ذکر کیا پھر حدیث بیان کی کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمباہر نکلے اور فرمایا کہ ہمیں کام ہے، تو جس کی سواری موجود ہو وہ ہمارے ساتھ سوار ہو۔ یہ سن کر چند آدمی آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے اپنی سواریوں کی طرف جانے کی اجازت مانگنے لگے جو مدینہ منورہ کی بلندی میں تھیں۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ نہیں صرف وہ لوگ جائیں جن کی سواریاں موجود ہوں۔ آخر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلماپنے اصحاب کے ساتھ چلے، یہاں تک کہ مشرکین سے پہلے بدر میں پہنچے اور مشرک بھی آ گئے۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ تم میں سے کوئی کسی چیز کی طرف نہ بڑھے جب تک میں اس کے آگے نہ ہوں۔ پھر مشرک قریب پہنچے، تو رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ اس جنت میں جانے کے لئے اٹھو جس کی چوڑائی تمام آسمانوں اور زمین کے برابر ہے۔ عمیر بن حمام انصاری نے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! جنت کی چوڑائی آسمانوں اور زمین کے برابر ہے؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا ہاں! اس نے کہا واہ سبحان اللہ۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ ایسا کیوں کہتا ہے؟ وہ بولا کچھ نہیں یا رسول اللہ! میں نے اس امید پر کہا کہ میں بھی اہل جنت سے ہو جاؤں۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا تو جنتی ہے۔ یہ سن کر چند کھجوریں اپنے ترکش سے نکال کر کھانے لگا پھر بولا کہ اگر میں اپنی کھجوریں کھانے تک جیوں تو بڑی لمبی زندگی ہو گی اور جتنی کھجوریں باقی تھیں وہ پھینک دیں اور کافروں سے لڑتا ہوا شہید ہو گیا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1158]
