انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him): He (peace be upon him) stood up among the Companions (to deliver a sermon) and told them that the most excellent of all deeds is jihad in the way of Allah and belief in Allah the Exalted. A man stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah! If I am killed in the way of Allah the Exalted, will my sins be wiped away from me?" He (peace be upon him) said: "Yes, if you are killed in the way of Allah with patience, and your intention is sincere for Allah the Exalted, and you are facing (the enemy), not turning your back." Then he (peace be upon him) said: "What did you say?" The man said, "If I am killed in the way of Allah the Exalted, will my sins be forgiven?" Then he (peace be upon him) said: "Yes, if you are killed with patience, with a sincere intention, and your face is forward, not turning your back — but the debt will not be forgiven, for Gabriel (peace be upon him) has told me this." اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے روایت کرتے ہیں کہآپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمصحابہ میں (خطبہ پڑھنے کو) کھڑے ہوئے اور ان سے بیان کیا کہ تمام اعمال میں افضل (عمل) اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد اور اللہ تعالیٰ پر ایمان لانا ہے۔ ایک شخص کھڑا ہوا اور بولا کہ یا رسول اللہ! اگر میں اللہ تعالیٰ کی راہ میں مارا جاؤں، تو میرے گناہ مجھ سے مٹا دیئے جائیں گے؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ ہاں اگر تو اللہ کی راہ میں مارا جائے، صبر کے ساتھ اور تیری نیت اللہ تعالیٰ کے لئے خالص ہو اور تو (دشمن کے) سامنے رہے پیٹھ نہ موڑے۔ پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ تو نے کیا کہا؟ وہ بولا کہ اگر میں اللہ تعالیٰ کی راہ میں مارا جاؤں تو میرے گناہ معاف ہو جائیں گے؟ پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ ہاں اگر تو صبر کے ساتھ مارا جائے، خالص نیت سے اور تیرا منہ سامنے ہو پیٹھ نہ موڑے مگر قرض معاف نہ ہو گا، کیونکہ جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے مجھ سے اس بات کو بیان کیا ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1085]
