Hadrat Abu Salama b. Hadrat 'Abd al-Rahman and Hadrat Ibn 'Abbas. (Allah be pleased with them) got together in the house of Hadrat Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) and began to discuss about the woman who gave birth to a child a few nights after the death of her husband. Hadrat Ibn 'Abbas (Allah be pleased with then) ) said:Her 'Idda is that period which is longer of the two (between four months and ten days and the birth of the child, whichever is longer). AbuSalama, however said: Her period of 'Idda is over (with the birth of the child), and they were contending with each other over this issue, whereupon Hadrat Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) said: I subscribe (to the view) held by my nephew (i. e. Abu Salama). They sent Kuraib (the freed slave of Hadrat Ibn 'Abbas) to Hadrat Umm Salama to ask her about it. He came (back) to them and informed them that Hadrat Umm Salama (Allah be pleased with her) said that Subai'ah al-Aslamiyya gave birth to a child after the death of her husband when the few flights (had hardly) passed and she made mention of that to Allah's Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and he commanded her to marry
اردو ترجمہ
عبدالوہاب نے کہا : میں نے یحییٰ بن سعید سے سنا ، ( انہوں نے کہا : ) مجھے سلیمان بن یسار نے خبر دی کہ حضرت ابوسلمہ بن عبدالرحمٰن اور حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہم دونوں حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے ہاں اکٹھے ہوئے اور وہ دونوں اس عورت کا ذکر کرنے لگے جس کا اپنے شوہر کی وفات سے چند راتوں کے بعد نفاس شروع ہو جائے ۔ حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہا : اس کی عدت دو وقتوں میں سے آخر والا ہے ۔ حضرت ابوسلمہ نے کہا : وہ حلال ہو چکی ہے ۔ وہ دونوں اس معاملے میں بحث کرنے لگے ، تو حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہا : میں اپنے بھتیجے ۔ ۔ یعنی حضرت ابوسلمہ ۔ ۔ کے ساتھ ہوں ۔ اس کے بعد انہوں نے اس مسئلے کے بارے میں دریافت کرنے کے لیے حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے آزاد کردہ غلام کریب کو حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین ام سلمہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا کی طرف بھیجا ۔ وہ ( واپس ) ان کے پاس آیا تو انہیں بتایا کہ حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین ام سلمہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے کہا ہے : سبیعہ اسلمیہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے اپنے شوہر کی وفات سے چند راتوں کے بعد بچہ جنا تھا ، انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے اس بات کا ذکر کیا تو آپ نے انہیں نکاح کرنے کا حکم دیا تھا
