وَعَن ابْن عمرٍ قَالَ: كُنَّا فِي زَمَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا نَعْدِلُ بِأَبِي بَكْرٍ أَحَدًا ثُمَّ عُمَرَ ثُمَّ عُثْمَانَ ثُمَّ نَتْرُكُ أَصْحَابَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا نُفَاضِلُ بَيْنَهُمْ. رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ لِأَبِي دَاوُدَ قَالَ: كُنَّا نَقُولُ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَيٌّ: أَفْضَلُ أُمَّةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ثُمَّ عمر ثمَّ عُثْمَان رَضِي الله عَنْهُم
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever spends a pair of something in the way of Allah will be called from the gates of Paradise: 'O servant of Allah, this is good!' Whoever is from the people of prayer will be called from the gate of prayer; whoever is from the people of jihad will be called from the gate of jihad; whoever is from the people of charity will be called from the gate of charity; and whoever is from the people of fasting will be called from the gate of al-Rayyan." Abu Bakr said: "O Messenger of Allah, will anyone be called from all of these gates?" He said: "Yes, and I hope you will be one of them." Agreed upon.
اردو ترجمہ
ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں، ہم نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے زمانے میں ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ کے برابر کسی کو قرار نہیں دیتے تھے، پھر عمر رضی اللہ عنہ اور پھر عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ پھر ہم نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے صحابہ (کی باہم فضیلت کی بحث) کو ترک کر دیتے تھے اور ہم ان میں سے کسی ایک کو دوسرے پر فضیلت نہیں دیتے تھے۔ اور ابوداؤد کی روایت ہے: ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی حیاتِ مبارکہ میں کہا کرتے تھے کہ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی امت میں آپ کے بعد سب سے افضل ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ ہیں، پھر عمر رضی اللہ عنہ ہیں اور پھر عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ ہیں۔ رواہ البخاری و ابوداؤد۔[مشكوة المصابيح/كتاب المناقب/حدیث: 6025]
