أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ بِسْطَامٍ بِالْبَصْرَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ رَجُلٍ إِلَّا سَيُكَلِّمُهُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَيْسَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَهُ تُرْجُمَانٌ ثُمَّ يَنْظُرُ أَيْمَنَ مِنْهُ فَلَا يَرَى شَيْئًا قَدَّمَهُ ثُمَّ يَنْظُرُ أَيْسَرَ مِنْهُ فَلَا يَرَى شَيْئًا قَدَّمَهُ ثُمَّ يَنْظُرُ تِلْقَاءَ وَجْهِهِ فَتَسْتَقْبِلُهُ النَّارُ» قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ «فَمَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَقِيَ وَجْهَهُ النَّارَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ فَلْيَفْعَلْ»
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hadrat Jabir ibn 'Abdillah (may Allah be well pleased with both father and son) narrated: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was unwell. We prayed behind him while he was seated, and we were standing. He gestured to us, so we sat down. When he finished, he stated: "You were about to do as the Persians and Romans do - stand before their kings while they are seated. Do not do that. Follow your Imams. If he prays standing, pray standing; if he prays seated, pray seated."
