أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا سَالِمُ أَبُو النَّضْرِ عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ وَعُبَيْدِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَطَبَ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَيَّرَ عَبْدًا بَيْنَ أَنْ يُؤْتِيَهُ مِنْ زَهْرَةِ الدُّنْيَا مَا شَاءَ وَبَيْنَ لِقَائِهِ فَاخْتَارَ لِقَاءَ رَبِّهِ» فَبَكَى أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَقَالَ بَلْ نَفْدِيكَ بِآبَائِنَا وَأَبْنَائِنَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «اسْكُتْ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ» ثُمَّ قَالَ «إِنَّ أَمَنَّ النَّاسِ عَلَيَّ فِي صُحْبَتِهِ وَمَالِهِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَلَوْ كُنْتُ مُتَّخِذًا خَلِيلًا مِنَ النَّاسِ لَاتَّخَذْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَلَكِنْ أُخُوَّةُ الْإِسْلَامِ وَمَوَدَّتُهُ أَلَا لَا يَبْقِيَنَّ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ خَوْخَةٌ إِلَّا سُدَّتْ إِلَّا خَوْخَةَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ» قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ فَقُلْتُ «الْعَجَبُ يُخْبِرُنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّ عَبْدًا خَيَّرَهُ اللَّهُ بَيْنَ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَهَذَا يَبْكِي وَإِذَا الْمُخَيَّرُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَإِذَا الْبَاكِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَإِذَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَعْلَمُنَا بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ»
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ahmad ibn Ali ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Rafi' narrated to us, he said: 'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us: Ma'mar narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Abdullah, from Ibn Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Khalid ibn al-Walid entered upon Maymunah, and she brought roasted mastigure. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was about to eat from it when Maymunah said: Inform the Messenger of Allah ﷺ of what he is about to eat. So they told him it was mastigure. The Prophet ﷺ withdrew his hand and said: 'Eat, for it is not haram, but it is not found in the land of my people and I find myself disinclined to it.' So Khalid ate while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was watching.
