Hadrat Halimah al-Sa'diyyah, the wet-nurse of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), narrated the story of her nursing him — including how she went to Makkah seeking nurslings, how every woman refused to take him because he was an orphan, how she finally took him and blessings immediately appeared in her milk, her she-camel, and her livestock. The Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) would grow in a day what a child grows in a month, and in a month what a child grows in a year. When they returned him to his mother and then took him back, two men in white came and split open his belly. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "Two men in white garments came to me, laid me down, and split open my belly — by Allah, I do not know what they did." His mother said: "Do not fear for him! By Allah, my son has a great matter. I was pregnant with him and never carried a pregnancy lighter or more blessed. I saw a light like a shooting star come forth from me when I delivered him, illuminating the necks of the camels at Busra. He did not fall as children fall — he placed his hand on the ground and raised his head to the sky."
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت حلیمہ سعدیہ — رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی دایہ — نے آپ کی رضاعت کا قصہ بیان کیا — بشمول اس کے کہ وہ مکہ میں دودھ پلانے والے بچے ڈھونڈنے آئیں، ہر عورت نے آپ کو یتیم ہونے کی وجہ سے لینے سے انکار کیا، آخرکار انہوں نے آپ کو لیا تو فوراً ان کے دودھ، اونٹنی اور مویشیوں میں برکت ظاہر ہوئی۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ایک دن میں اتنے بڑے ہوتے جتنا بچہ ایک مہینے میں، اور ایک مہینے میں اتنے جتنا بچہ سال بھر میں۔ جب والدہ کے پاس واپس لے گئے اور پھر واپس لائے تو دو سفید پوش آئے اور آپ کا پیٹ چیرا۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "دو سفید کپڑوں والے آئے اور مجھے لٹایا اور میرا پیٹ چیرا — اللہ کی قسم مجھے نہیں معلوم انہوں نے کیا کیا۔" آپ کی والدہ نے فرمایا: "اس کے بارے میں خوف نہ کرو! اللہ کی قسم میرے بیٹے کی ایک بڑی شان ہے۔ میں نے اسے اٹھایا تو کوئی حمل اس سے ہلکا اور زیادہ بابرکت نہیں تھا۔ میں نے ایک نور دیکھا جیسے شہاب جو ولادت کے وقت مجھ سے نکلا اور بصریٰ کے اونٹوں کی گردنیں روشن ہو گئیں۔ وہ بچوں کی طرح نہیں گرے — ہاتھ زمین پر رکھا اور سر آسمان کی طرف اٹھایا۔"
