أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّ دَرَّاجًا حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ تَوَاضَعَ لِلَّهِ دَرَجَةً يَرْفَعْهُ اللَّهُ دَرَجَةً حَتَّى يَجْعَلَهُ فِي أَعْلَى عِلِّيِّينَ وَمَنْ يَتَكَبَّرْ عَلَى اللَّهِ دَرَجَةً يَضَعْهُ اللَّهُ دَرَجَةً حَتَّى يَجْعَلَهُ فِي أَسْفَلِ السَّافِلِينَ وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ يَعْمَلُ فِي صَخْرَةٍ صَمَّاءَ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ بَابٌ وَلَا كُوَّةٌ لَخَرَجَ مَا غَيَّبَهُ لِلنَّاسِ كَائِنًا مَا كَانَ»
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Salm informed us, Harmala ibn Yahya narrated to us, Ibn Wahb narrated to us, Amr ibn al-Harith informed me that Darraj narrated to him, from Abu al-Haytham, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) who said: 'Whoever humbles himself for Allah one degree, Allah will raise him one degree until He places him in the highest of the exalted places. Whoever shows arrogance against Allah one degree, Allah will lower him one degree until He places him in the lowest of the low. Even if one of you were to work inside a solid rock that has no door or window, what he has hidden would come out to the people, whatever it may be.'
