أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْبَزَّارُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ كَانَ قِتَالٌ بَيْنَ بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ فَأَتَاهُمُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِيُصْلِحَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَقَدْ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ فَقَالَ لِبِلَالٍ «إِنْ حَضَرَتِ صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ وَلَمْ آتِ فَمُرْ أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَلْيُصَلِّ بِالنَّاسِ» فَلَمَّا حَضَرَتْ صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ أَذَّنَ بِلَالٌ وَأَقَامَ وَقَالَ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ تَقَدَّمْ فَتَقَدَّمَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَشُقُّ الصُّفُوفَ فَلَمَّا رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ النَّاسُ صَفَّحُوا قَالَ وَكَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ إِذَا دَخَلَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ لَمْ يَلْتَفِتْ فَلَمَّا رَأَى التَّصْفِيحَ لَا يُمْسَكُ عَنْهُ الْتَفَتَ فَرَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَلْفَهُ فَأَوْمَأَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَنِ امْضِ» فَلَبِثَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ هُنَيَّةً فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ عَلَى قَوْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَنِ امْضِ» ثُمَّ مَشَى أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْقَهْقَرَى عَلَى عَقِبِهِ فَلَمَّا رَأَى ذَلِكَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ تَقَدَّمَ فَصَلَّى بِالْقَوْمِ صَلَاتَهُمْ فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ قَالَ «يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ مَا مَنَعَكَ إِذْ أَوْمَأْتُ إِلَيْكَ أَنْ لَا تَكُونَ مَضَيْتَ؟ » قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ لَمْ يَكُنْ لِابْنِ أَبِي قُحَافَةَ أَنْ يَؤُمَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ قَالَ لِلنَّاسِ «إِذَا نَابَكُمْ فِي صَلَاتِكُمْ شَيْءٌ فَلْيُسَبِّحِ الرِّجَالُ وَلْتُصَفِّقِ النِّسَاءُ»
انگریزی ترجمہ
It is narrated from Hadrat Sahl ibn Sa'd (may Allah be well pleased with him) that he said: There was a dispute between Banu Amr ibn Awf, so the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) went to them to reconcile between them. He had already prayed Zuhr. He said to Hadrat Bilal (may Allah be well pleased with him): 'If the time for Asr prayer comes and I have not returned, then tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer.' When the time for Asr came, Bilal called the adhan and the iqamah, and said: 'O Abu Bakr, step forward.' So Abu Bakr stepped forward. Then the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) came, passing through the rows. When the people saw the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), they clapped. Abu Bakr, when he entered into the prayer, would not turn around. But when the clapping did not stop, he turned and saw the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) behind him. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) gestured to him: 'Continue.' Abu Bakr paused for a moment and praised Allah for the words of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) — 'Continue.' Then Abu Bakr walked backwards. When the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) saw that, he stepped forward and led the people in their prayer. When he finished, he stated: 'O Abu Bakr, what prevented you from continuing when I gestured to you?' Abu Bakr said: 'It was not for the son of Abu Quhafah to lead the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).' Then he said to the people: 'If something happens to you in your prayer, let the men say SubhanAllah and let the women clap.'
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت سہل بن سعد رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ بنو عمرو بن عوف میں لڑائی ہوئی، تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ان کے درمیان صلح کرانے تشریف لے گئے، اور آپ ظہر پڑھ چکے تھے۔ آپ نے حضرت بلال رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے ارشاد فرمایا: 'اگر عصر کا وقت ہو جائے اور میں نہ آؤں تو ابوبکر سے کہو کہ لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائیں۔' جب عصر کا وقت آیا تو بلال نے اذان اور اقامت کہی اور فرمایا: اے ابوبکر! آگے بڑھیں۔ تو ابوبکر آگے بڑھے۔ پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم تشریف لائے صفوں میں سے گزرتے ہوئے۔ جب لوگوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو دیکھا تو تالیاں بجائیں۔ ابوبکر جب نماز میں داخل ہوتے تو مڑ کر نہیں دیکھتے تھے۔ جب تالی بجنا بند نہ ہوئی تو انہوں نے مڑ کر دیکھا اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو اپنے پیچھے دیکھا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے انہیں اشارہ فرمایا: 'جاری رکھو۔' ابوبکر تھوڑی دیر ٹھہرے اور اللہ کی حمد بیان کی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے فرمان 'جاری رکھو' پر۔ پھر ابوبکر پیچھے ہٹتے گئے۔ جب نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے یہ دیکھا تو آگے بڑھے اور لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائی۔ جب فارغ ہوئے تو ارشاد فرمایا: 'اے ابوبکر! جب میں نے تمہیں اشارہ کیا تو تمہیں کیا چیز روکی کہ تم جاری نہیں رکھتے؟' ابوبکر نے عرض کیا: ابوقحافہ کے بیٹے کی مجال نہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی امامت کرے۔ پھر آپ نے لوگوں سے ارشاد فرمایا: 'جب تمہیں نماز میں کوئی بات پیش آئے تو مرد سبحان اللہ کہیں اور عورتیں تالی بجائیں۔'
