أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ يَقُولُ «نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ أَقْرَأَ رَاكِعًا وَسَاجِدًا»

Muhammad ibn al-Hasan ibn Qutaybah informed us, saying: Harmalah ibn Yahya narrated to us, saying: Ibn Wahb narrated to us, saying: Yunus informed us from Ibn Shihab, who said: Ibrahim ibn Abd Allah ibn Hunayn informed me that his father narrated to him that he heard Ali ibn Abi Talib say: 'The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade me from reciting while bowing or prostrating.'
