أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ السَّعْدِيُّ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْقِبْطِيَّةِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ كُنَّا إِذَا صَلَّيْنَا خَلْفَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قُلْنَا بِأَيْدِينَا السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَمِينًا وَشِمَالًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا لِي أَرَى أَيْدِيَكُمْ كَأَنَّهَا أَذْنَابُ خَيْلٍ شُمْسٍ إِنَّمَا يَكْفِي أَحَدَكُمْ أَنْ يَضَعَ يَدَيْهِ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ ثُمَّ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ»
انگریزی ترجمہ
Jabir ibn Samurah said: When we prayed behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), we would say with our hands: Peace be upon you, to the right and left. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'What is the matter with me that I see your hands as if they were tails of wild horses? It is sufficient for one of you to place his hands on his thighs, then give the salutation to his right and to his left.'
