Hadrat Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: We were forbidden to ask the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) about things, so it used to please us when a man from the desert dwellers would come and ask him while we listened. A man came and said, 'O Muhammad, your messenger came to us and claimed that you claim that Allah has sent you.' He stated: 'He spoke the truth.' The man asked, 'Who created the sky?' He stated: 'Allah.' He asked, 'Who created the earth?' He stated: 'Allah.' He asked, 'Who set up these mountains?' He stated: 'Allah.' He asked, 'Who placed these benefits in them?' He stated: 'Allah.' He said, 'By the One Who created the sky and the earth and set up the mountains and placed these benefits in them — did Allah send you?' He stated: 'Yes.' He said, 'Your messenger claimed that we must pray five prayers in our day and night.' He stated: 'He spoke the truth.' He said, 'By the One Who sent you — did Allah command you with this?' He stated: 'Yes.' He said, 'Your messenger claimed that we must give charity from our wealth.' He stated: 'He spoke the truth.' He said, 'By the One Who sent you — did Allah command you with this?' He stated: 'Yes.' He said, 'Your messenger claimed that we must fast a month in our year.' He stated: 'He spoke the truth.' He said, 'By the One Who sent you — did Allah command you with this?' He stated: 'Yes.' He said, 'Your messenger claimed that we must perform Hajj to the House for whoever is able to find a way to it.' He stated: 'He spoke the truth.' The man said, 'By the One Who sent you with the truth, I shall not add to these nor reduce from them.' When he turned away, the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'If he has spoken the truth, he shall certainly enter Paradise.'
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ہمیں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے کسی بات کا سوال کرنے سے منع کیا گیا تھا، تو ہمیں اچھا لگتا تھا جب کوئی بادیہ نشین آتا اور آپ سے سوال کرتا اور ہم سنتے۔ ایک شخص آیا اور کہا: اے محمد! آپ کا قاصد ہمارے پاس آیا اور اس نے دعویٰ کیا کہ آپ کا دعویٰ ہے کہ اللہ نے آپ کو بھیجا ہے۔ ارشاد فرمایا: اس نے سچ کہا۔ کہا: آسمان کو کس نے پیدا کیا؟ فرمایا: اللہ نے۔ کہا: زمین کو کس نے پیدا کیا؟ فرمایا: اللہ نے۔ کہا: ان پہاڑوں کو کس نے کھڑا کیا؟ فرمایا: اللہ نے۔ کہا: ان میں یہ فوائد کس نے رکھے؟ فرمایا: اللہ نے۔ اس نے کہا: اس ذات کی قسم جس نے آسمان اور زمین بنائی اور پہاڑ کھڑے کیے اور ان میں فوائد رکھے — کیا اللہ نے آپ کو بھیجا ہے؟ فرمایا: ہاں۔ کہا: آپ کے قاصد نے دعویٰ کیا کہ ہم پر دن رات میں پانچ نمازیں فرض ہیں۔ فرمایا: اس نے سچ کہا۔ کہا: اس ذات کی قسم جس نے آپ کو بھیجا، کیا اللہ نے آپ کو یہ حکم دیا؟ فرمایا: ہاں۔ کہا: آپ کے قاصد نے دعویٰ کیا کہ ہمارے مالوں میں زکوٰۃ فرض ہے۔ فرمایا: اس نے سچ کہا۔ کہا: اس ذات کی قسم جس نے آپ کو بھیجا، کیا اللہ نے آپ کو یہ حکم دیا؟ فرمایا: ہاں۔ کہا: آپ کے قاصد نے دعویٰ کیا کہ ہم پر سال میں ایک مہینے کے روزے فرض ہیں۔ فرمایا: اس نے سچ کہا۔ کہا: اس ذات کی قسم جس نے آپ کو بھیجا، کیا اللہ نے آپ کو یہ حکم دیا؟ فرمایا: ہاں۔ کہا: آپ کے قاصد نے دعویٰ کیا کہ ہم پر بیت اللہ کا حج فرض ہے جو اس تک راستے کی استطاعت رکھتا ہو۔ فرمایا: اس نے سچ کہا۔ اس نے کہا: اس ذات کی قسم جس نے آپ کو حق کے ساتھ بھیجا! نہ میں ان میں سے کسی میں اضافہ کروں گا نہ کمی۔ جب وہ واپس ہوا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اگر اس نے سچ کہا تو ضرور جنت میں داخل ہوگا۔
