Hadrat 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "I was brought the Buraq and rode behind Jibril (upon him be peace). It journeyed with us — when it ascended, its legs rose, and when it descended, its forelegs rose. It journeyed with us through a dark, foul-smelling land until we emerged onto an open, pleasant-smelling land. I said, 'O Jibril, we were journeying through dark, foul-smelling land, then we emerged onto open, pleasant-smelling land.' He said, 'That was the land of the Fire, and this is the land of Paradise.' I came upon a man standing in prayer. He asked, 'Who is this with you, O Jibril?' He said, 'This is your brother Muhammad.' He welcomed me, prayed for blessings upon me, and said, 'Ask ease for your Ummah.' I asked, 'Who is this, O Jibril?' He said, 'This is your brother 'Isa ibn Maryam (upon him be blessings and peace).' We continued and heard a voice and commotion. We came upon a man who asked, 'Who is this, O Jibril?' He said, 'This is your brother Muhammad.' He welcomed me, prayed for blessings upon me, and said, 'Ask ease for your Ummah.' I asked, 'Who is this, O Jibril?' He said, 'This is your brother Musa.' I asked, 'At whom was his commotion and voice directed?' He said, 'At his Lord.' I said, 'At his Lord?' He said, 'Yes, that is known of his intensity.' We continued and saw lanterns and light. I said, 'What is this, O Jibril?' He said, 'This is the tree of your father Ibrahim (upon him be blessings and peace) — shall you draw near to it?' I said, 'Yes.' We drew near and he welcomed me and prayed for blessings upon me. Then we went on until we came to Bayt al-Maqdis. I tied the mount to the ring to which the Prophets tie theirs. Then I entered the mosque and the Prophets were assembled for me — those whom Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, named and those whom He did not name. I led them in prayer — except these three individuals: Ibrahim, Musa, and 'Isa (upon them be blessings and peace)." This hadith was reported uniquely by Abu Hamzah Maymun al-A'war, and opinions of our Imams differ regarding him. He brought additions that the two Shaykhs did not record regarding the Mi'raj.

حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "میرے پاس براق لایا گیا اور مَیں حضرت جبرئیل علیہ السلام کے پیچھے سوار ہوا۔ وہ ہمیں لے کر چلا — جب اوپر چڑھتا تو اس کی ٹانگیں اونچی ہوتیں اور جب نیچے اترتا تو اس کے اگلے پاؤں اونچے ہوتے۔ وہ ہمیں ایک تاریک بدبودار سرزمین سے لے کر گزرا یہاں تک کہ ہم کشادہ خوشبودار سرزمین پر آ گئے۔ مَیں نے کہا: اے جبرئیل! ہم تاریک بدبودار زمین سے گزرے پھر کشادہ خوشبودار زمین پر آئے۔ فرمایا: وہ آگ کی سرزمین تھی اور یہ جنت کی سرزمین ہے۔ مَیں ایک کھڑے نماز پڑھتے ہوئے شخص کے پاس آیا — اس نے پوچھا: اے جبرئیل! تمہارے ساتھ کون ہے؟ فرمایا: یہ تمہارے بھائی محمد ہیں۔ انہوں نے مجھے خوش آمدید کہا، برکت کی دعا دی اور فرمایا: اپنی امت کے لیے آسانی مانگو۔ مَیں نے پوچھا: اے جبرئیل! یہ کون ہیں؟ فرمایا: یہ تمہارے بھائی عیسیٰ بن مریم علیہ الصلوٰۃ والسلام ہیں۔ ہم آگے بڑھے تو ایک آواز اور شکایت سنی — ایک شخص کے پاس آئے — اس نے پوچھا: اے جبرئیل! تمہارے ساتھ کون ہے؟ فرمایا: یہ تمہارے بھائی محمد ہیں۔ انہوں نے خوش آمدید کہا، برکت کی دعا دی اور فرمایا: اپنی امت کے لیے آسانی مانگو۔ مَیں نے پوچھا: اے جبرئیل! یہ کون ہیں؟ فرمایا: یہ تمہارے بھائی موسیٰ ہیں۔ مَیں نے پوچھا: ان کی شکایت اور آواز کس کے خلاف تھی؟ فرمایا: اپنے رب کے خلاف۔ مَیں نے کہا: اپنے رب کے خلاف؟ فرمایا: ہاں، ان کی تیزی سے یہ بات معروف ہے۔ ہم آگے بڑھے تو چراغ اور روشنی دیکھی۔ مَیں نے کہا: اے جبرئیل! یہ کیا ہے؟ فرمایا: یہ تمہارے باپ ابراہیم علیہ الصلوٰۃ والسلام کا درخت ہے — قریب جاؤ گے؟ مَیں نے کہا: ہاں۔ ہم قریب گئے — انہوں نے خوش آمدید کہا اور برکت کی دعا دی۔ پھر ہم چلے یہاں تک کہ بیت المقدس آ گئے — مَیں نے سواری کو اس حلقے سے باندھا جس سے انبیاء باندھتے ہیں۔ پھر مَیں مسجد میں داخل ہوا — میرے لیے انبیاء جمع کیے گئے جن کے اللہ عزوجل نے نام لیے اور جن کے نام نہیں لیے — مَیں نے ان کی امامت کی سوائے ان تین ہستیوں کے: ابراہیم، موسیٰ اور عیسیٰ علیہم الصلوٰۃ والسلام۔" یہ حدیث ابوحمزہ میمون اعور نے منفرد روایت کی ہے اور ہمارے ائمہ کی ان کے بارے میں آراء مختلف ہیں۔
