Hadrat 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "The earths — between each earth and the one below it is a journey of five hundred years. The uppermost of them is upon the back of a whale whose two ends meet in the sky, and the whale on its back is upon a rock, and the rock is in the hand of an angel. The second is the domain of the wind. When Allah willed to destroy 'Ad, He commanded the keeper of the wind to send upon them a wind that would destroy 'Ad. He said, 'O Lord, shall I send upon them wind the measure of a bull's nostril?' The Almighty, Blessed and Exalted, said, 'Then it would overturn the earth and all upon it. Rather, send upon them the measure of a ring' — and that is what Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, said in His Noble Book: 'It left nothing that it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins' [al-Dhariyat 51:42]. The third contains the stones of Hell. The fourth contains the sulfur of Hell." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, does the Fire have sulfur?" He stated: "Yes, by the One in Whose Hand is my soul! In it are valleys of sulfur — if the mighty mountains were cast into them, they would melt. The fifth contains the snakes of Hell — their mouths are like valleys; they sting the disbeliever and no flesh remains on his bones. The sixth contains the scorpions of Hell — the smallest scorpion among them is like saddled mules; it strikes the disbeliever a blow that makes him forget the heat of Hell due to its sting. The seventh is Saqar, and in it is Iblis, chained in iron — one hand before him and one hand behind him. When Allah wills to release him for whatever He wishes concerning His servants, He releases him." This hadith was reported uniquely by Abu al-Samh from 'Isa ibn Hilal, and I have mentioned his credibility as stated by Imam Yahya ibn Ma'in. The hadith is authentic though they did not record it. [Al-Dhahabi said]: Rather, it is munkar (rejected).

حضرت عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "زمینیں — ہر زمین سے اس کے نیچے والی تک پانچ سو سال کا سفر ہے۔ سب سے اوپر والی ایک مچھلی کی پیٹھ پر ہے جس کے دونوں سرے آسمان میں ملتے ہیں، مچھلی ایک چٹان پر ہے، اور چٹان ایک فرشتے کے ہاتھ میں ہے۔ دوسری ہوا کا مسکن ہے۔ جب اللہ نے عاد کو ہلاک کرنا چاہا تو ہوا کے خازن کو حکم دیا کہ ان پر ایسی ہوا بھیجے جو عاد کو ہلاک کر دے۔ اس نے کہا: اے رب! بیل کی نتھنے برابر ہوا بھیجوں؟ جبار تبارک و تعالیٰ نے فرمایا: تب تو زمین اور اس پر سب کچھ الٹ جائے گا — بلکہ انگوٹھی برابر بھیجو — اور وہی ہے جو اللہ عزوجل نے اپنی کتابِ عزیز میں فرمایا: {کوئی چیز نہ چھوڑتی تھی جس پر آئی مگر اسے بوسیدہ بنا دیتی} [الذاریات: ۴۲]۔ تیسری میں جہنم کے پتھر ہیں۔ چوتھی میں جہنم کا گندھک ہے۔ صحابہ نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! کیا آگ میں گندھک ہے؟ فرمایا: ہاں، اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے! اس میں گندھک کی وادیاں ہیں — اگر بڑے بڑے پہاڑ ان میں ڈالے جائیں تو پگھل جائیں۔ پانچویں میں جہنم کے سانپ ہیں — ان کے منہ وادیوں جیسے ہیں — کافر کو ڈسیں تو اس کی ہڈیوں پر گوشت نہ رہے۔ چھٹی میں جہنم کے بچھو ہیں — ان کا سب سے چھوٹا بچھو پالان لگے خچروں جیسا — کافر کو ایسی ضرب لگائے کہ اس کے ڈنک سے جہنم کی تپش بھول جائے۔ ساتویں سقر ہے اور اس میں ابلیس لوہے میں جکڑا ہوا ہے — ایک ہاتھ آگے ایک پیچھے۔ جب اللہ اسے اپنے بندوں میں سے جو چاہے اس کے لیے چھوڑنا چاہے تو چھوڑ دیتا ہے۔" یہ حدیث ابوالسمح نے عیسیٰ بن ہلال سے منفرد روایت کی ہے اور حدیث صحیح ہے لیکن دونوں نے نقل نہیں کیا۔ بلکہ یہ منکر ہے۔
