انگریزی ترجمہ
Salamah ibn al-Akwa' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) once sent a person to announce on the day of Ashura: "Whoever has eaten should not eat anymore (and consider it a fast), and whoever has not eaten should fast."
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا سلمہ بن اکوع رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ(ایک مرتبہ) عاشورہ کے دن نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ایک شخص کو اس امر کا اعلان کرنے کے لیے مقرر فرمایا:”(آج) جس شخص نے کچھ کھا لیا وہ اب کچھ نہ کھائے اور جس نے نہ کھایا ہو وہ (روزہ کی نیت کر لے یعنی) روزہ رکھ لے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 937]
